Independent retailers have told the BBC that they fear a big spike in shoplifting over the festive and new year periods. The British Independent Retailers Association worries it could send some shops out of business and that many of its members feel abandoned by the police. It even means that some shops feel like they need to take their own action. In this episode of 5 Minutes On, the BBC's Jim Connolly meets Annette and Katie - the owners of a family-run DIY shop on the front line of the fightback against shoplifting.
