The Ukrainian government says thousands of children have been taken unlawfully to Russia since the start of the war. The International Criminal Court has already issued a warrant for President Putin’s arrest for the alleged illegal deportations. Now, documents uncovered by BBC Panorama indicate that a political ally of Vladimir Putin has adopted a girl taken from a Ukrainian children’s home. Margarita was removed from the city of Kherson in September 2022, when it was under Russian occupation - and she wasn't the only one. Panorama's Hilary Andersson reports for 5 Minutes On.
