The number of children missing school in England is a crisis according to MPs on the Education Select Committee. More than 1 in 5 pupils are persistently absent - meaning they miss 10% or more of their schooling. This is around double the pre-pandemic rate. 5 Live listeners spoke to Nicky Campbell about their experiences of getting their children to go to school.
