To make a documentary about the case of Lucy Letby, the BBC’s North of England correspondent Judith Moritz and BBC Panorama’s Jonathan Coffey spoke to the lead consultant who ran the neo-natal unit where Lucy Letby worked. They also interviewed the parents of a baby who died on the ward when Letby was on shift and to one of Letby’s childhood friends, who insisted she was not capable of committing the crime. After a trial at Manchester Crown Court, Lucy Letby was found guilty of murdering seven babies, and of attempting to murder six others. The jury was undecided on six other attempted murder charges and Letby was found not guilty of two counts of attempted murder. In this 5 Minutes On podcast, Judith Moritz and Jonathan Coffey talk about their experiences investigating the case of Lucy Letby. (Photo: BBC)
