An internal Foreign Office assessment warns thousands of women in Africa could die in pregnancy and childbirth, because of temporary cuts to the UK's aid budget. It says a 76% reduction in support for Afghanistan will leave some of the world's most vulnerable women and girls without critical services. Is foreign aid money well spent?
