Available for over a year

In June 2021, Bolton in Greater Manchester was in the grip of a big surge in covid cases and had some of the highest infection rates in Europe. Two years on, the long-awaited Covid Inquiry is about to begin its first formal hearings as it examines the government's response to the pandemic. The BBC's health correspondent, Dominic Hughes, reported from Bolton during that covid surge, and has been back to find out what different areas of the community want to learn from the inquiry. For 5 Minutes On, Dominic visits a mother and father whose daughter died from complications after contracting Covid, a headteacher, a community volunteer and a GP who oversaw the town's vaccine rollout.
