Did protest police go too far?

Voice of the UK

Available for over a year

The Metropolitan Police says it "regrets" the arrests of six anti-monarchy protesters on Coronation day. It says there was no proof the six protesters were planning to use the banned tactic of "locking on" to things like railings. One of those arrested, Graham Smith, Chief Executive of the campaign group Republic, says he does not accept the apology, and he wants a "full inquiry". Nicky Campbell asked 5 live listeners: 'did protest police go too far?'
