It's almost surreal to turn on BBC News, and see the BBC reporting about the BBC. But that's what happened as the chairman, Richard Sharp, resigned. A report found he created the appearance of a conflict of interest by not fully disclosing his knowledge of then-PM Boris Johnson's personal finances. His position was scrutinised after it emerged he tried to secure a high-level government meeting for a businessman offering Mr Johnson financial help. Mr Sharp defended his conduct but said he did not want to be a distraction. So resigned. For 5 Questions On, the BBC’s Political Correspondent David Wallace-Lockhart takes you through who Richard Sharp is, what his background was, what ultimately led to his resignation, and how it all affects you.
