The number of homes available to rent has fallen by a third since the pandemic. It’s one of the reasons tenants are facing an 11% price hike when they sign up for new properties. Exclusive figures from property website Zoopla shared with the BBC, say lettings agencies currently have an average of 10 homes advertised for rent, rather than 16 per agency before the pandemic.
