If you're a parent or carer, you'll have probably heard something about strep A lately. Cases have been rising in England and Wales, with six children under 10 dying between the months of September and December. For the families affected, it's the stuff of nightmares. But for most the risk is low. Still, health officials say parents should know the symptoms. So what is it, how unusual are these deaths and what are the signs to look out for?
