Hundreds of thousands of Somalis – many trapped by conflict – are facing the prospect of famine. Young children are dying in growing numbers and government officials have told the BBC that a far greater “catastrophe” could sweep across the country within days or weeks unless more international aid arrives immediately. The BBC's Africa correspondent Andrew Harding covered Somalia’s last famine, in 2011. Now, for 5 Minutes On, he reports from Baidoa, a city now at the heart of the worst drought to hit the country for forty years. Image Credit: Ed Ram via Getty Images
