Available for over a year

Back in 1871, Queen Victoria’s harpist was a Welshman called John Thomas. In 2000, Charles III, then the Prince of Wales, revived the role, and world-renowned harpist Catrin Finch was the first to hold the position. At a special National Service for the late Queen, she performed with the current harpist, Alis Huws in front of His Majesty in Llandaff Cathedral in Cardiff. Catrin shared with Radio 4's Today programme about the role - performing at vast, lavish events at Buckingham Palace, as well as more intimate ones at the King's home, Highgrove, in Gloucestershire.
