Cafe Compañeros in Birkenhead is no ordinary coffee shop. Yes, you can get a cappuccino or latte. But, this cafe also supports people in mental health crisis and it's one of a few that's funded by the NHS. Despite being open for less than a year, it's already attracting hundreds in need of help. It's even prompted calls for similar safe spaces to be set up across the country.
