A country under attack, from east to west and north to south. The Russian President, Vladimir Putin, tries to claim their action was an act of self-defence. He’s warned Ukrainians to lay down their arms. Kyiv’s embattled president is appealing to the world to intervene. The Russian assault is from all directions – and a big concern is that Moscow's forces will be heading to the capital.
