What's it really like to be a black model working in fashion? As another year of Fashion Weeks across Europe has drawn to a close, and the UK observes Black History Month throughout October, Nyasha Matonhodze describes how the industry is ill-equipped for people who look like her. Afro hair is often regarded as a black woman's crown and glory - but stylists don't normally know how to treat their hair properly.
