Murdered for wearing a turban

Days after the 9/11 attacks in New York, Balbir Singh Sodhi - an American Sikh - was killed by Frank Roque in the US state of Arizona. He thought Balbir was an Arab Muslim because he had a beard and was wearing a turban. Frank Roque's death sentence was later commuted to life in prison without parole. In 2016, he apologised for the killing and has now spoken of his remorse. The BBC's Jat Dhillon and her family reflect on the fear they experienced in the aftermath of that hate crime.
