The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires arr. Sergio Assad (Autumn)

Experience Classical

Available for over a year

Often coupled with the Vivaldi’s famous 4 Seasons, Piazzolla’s bears little similarity to the earlier suite. Piazzolla wrote single movement works, for a widely mixed ensemble. The bandoneon, an Argentine tango instrument similar to an accordion takes centre stage in all, often being complemented by a contrasting ensemble instrument. Percussion is prominent in Autumn. Composer: Astor Piazzolla Performer: Thibaut Garcia (Guitar) Recording date: 02 June 2018 Date of broadcast: 25 August 2019
