The story of the Atlantic slave trade told through letters, memoirs and historical research. Episode three - the legacy of slavery and the diaspora's reconnection with Africa. For decades after the abolition of slavery, African roots were not something to be proud of. Civil rights activists such as Jamaican Marcus Garvey changed that.
