South Sudan: Can the World’s Youngest Country Survive?

Assignment

Available for over a year

There is a shaky ceasefire in place in South Sudan. A deal was signed in August to end two years of bitter civil war between government troops and rebel factions in Africa’s newest state. Thousands of people have been killed and more than two million displaced. Tim Franks travels to South Sudan to find out why the world's youngest nation has failed to deliver on the hopes placed on it at independence.
