Busoga Kingdom

World Routes

Available for over a year

Lucy Duran presents the second of two programmes recorded on location in Uganda. This week she travels east from the source of the Nile into the Busoga Kingdom, an area famed for its music. Amongst other things she hears the giant pit xylophone, so named because of the large hole dug in the ground over which it resonates. Another group turn out to be fans of the World Service and compose a special song about the BBC.
