This week’s Choral Reflection features the music of a little known Bristolian composer - William Child, and there's music from a new release by pianist Cecile Licad. There's also youthful romance in music by Shostakovich, a heartfelt Handelian aria, and a chance to hear a stunning recording of Walton's Violin Concerto by violinist Akiko Suwanai, with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and conductor Sakari Oramo in full.
