For so many in South Asian culture, food is never just food. It's memory, it's family, it's identity. It's a love language - a way of showing we care without needing words - and sometimes even just a single smell can transport us back to childhood. Now, a generation of content creators are determined to keep those recipes and traditions alive, while also bringing in a few of their own modern twists along the way. Reggie Batchu, known online as "badandbhajiii" online, and Thirsika Jeyapalan, AKA "itsthirsi", both share dishes of Tamil and Punjabi heritage. Speaking to Amber Haque, they reflect on their love of food with, sharing their favourite recipes, from treasured families favourites, to meals passed down through generations.
