Besides
sister Kajol, her family boasts of such greats as mother Tanuja,
grandmother Shobana Samarth, aunt Nutan and of course cousin
Mohnish Behl.

Tanisha to make her Bollywood debut in Ssssh!

There
is also her filmmaker father Shomu Mukherjee who has been
in the film profession for decades.
Educated
in a convent, Tanisha dreamt of becoming a nun.
But
fate planned otherwise and she ended up with a B. A. in Media
& Communications from the University of New South Wales in
Australia. She then returned home to enter Bollywood.
After
a lot of buzz surrounding her launch, she debuts in Sssshhh
directed by Pavan S. Kaul.
'Sssshhh...
is an all out bang,boom,thriller which also stars Dino Morea
and Karan Nath', says Tanisha.
Originally,
Tanisha was to make her debut in a Rajshri film that did not
materialise. She was also considered for a project with ad
filmmaker, Ajit Pal opposite Karan Nath.

'But
I think due to some financial problems, the film did not get
off the ground,' she informs.
Unlike
most star children who prefer to be introduced in candyfloss
love stories, Tanisha's choice for her first film is rather
unconventional.
'Dream
debut? I never dreamt about what my entry into films should
be like. If tomorrow a script demands me to wear chiffon saris,
I will wear them,' she chuckles. |
