Huge storage jars, too big to be brought in through the door, were partly buried in the corner of the house. The visible tops of these pots were beautifully decorated and the area where they sat was surrounded by stone to protect them from being bumped and broken.
There are 3 or 4 stone boxes like these in the floor of every house. They might have been used to soak fish bait like limpets.
