We went to the beach ballroom on Monday nights. The men there were all charming and polite and would ask nicely if they could have a dance with you.
If you met someone you would go for tea and cake with them that night, we wouldnt go off drinking. Wed usually be in time for the last bus, but I remember if you missed it, it was a long walk home!
