I have fond memories of playing kick the can or going to the local woods to play paper chases. We would split into 2 groups. One would leave the message clues and the other team would try to hunt us down after 10 minutes or so by using our trail of paper clues.
We also had a game called kerbie. We had a football and 2 people played it. We would face each other at the opposite kerb and one had to throw the ball, aiming for it to hit off the edge of the kerb. If this worked, the ball would bounce right back to the thrower and he gained a point. If you missed, the other person had their try and so the game continued till you reached an agreed score or till you got bored.
