She’s a child.

She’s too young to rule, so other people would have to run the country for her during her “minority” until she grew up. The problem is who should get all the power - and money - to rule the country? Would other nobles become jealous and cause trouble?


On the other hand, the Scots were used to minorities because Alexander III himself had a minority.
