Answering yes or no: In Gaelic yes and no can not always be said by using
''Tha" or
''Chan eil". As you see from the questions and answers this game, the verb in the question is sometimes adapted and used to answer.
For example,
Q. An tèid sinn dhan phàirc? (Will we go to the park?)
A. Thèid.
Some other examples of this in Gaelic are:
Q. An gabh thu cupa tì? (Will you have a cup of tea?)
A. Gabhaidh. (yes) Cha ghabh (no)
Q. An cuala tu an fuaim? (Did you hear a noise?)
A. Chuala (yes) Cha chuala (no)
