Hai, ciamar a tha sibh an-diugh? Tha mise gu math. ’S e Diluain a tha ann an-diugh.

Yip, the Gaelic is fairly coming along. We were at the Big Willow thing on Saturday night, which was kinda cool. There was a fiddle band called the Blazin’ Fiddles playing at it, and it's not normally my thing but, you know, I kinda liked it. I think I'm gonna download a few tunes.

It's been a busy week all in all. I've been trying to go to most of the games in the 4 Nation Semi-Pro football tournament. I'm supporting Scotland of course. It's quite good fun going along to watch and the Scotland versus Ireland match was the best yet. It's just Melodaidh and myself that have been going to the games, it's not really Seanair or Morag's thing! I'm getting quite into this travelling lark and enjoying it more than I thought I would. Seanair and Morag have different interests to me and Melodaidh but it's alright spending some time with Seanair - although he goes on and on and on, he actually knows a lot about a lot of things!

Anyway I'm offski now. Tìoraidh an-dràsta.

Halò is ciamar a tha thu?

Tha mi gu math agus tha sinn trang. 'S e latha math a th'ann an-diugh.

We went to the Ullapool book festival for the day yesterday. Morag and Melodaidh were very keen on going so Seanair and I thought it would be an alright day out. Until we realised they wanted to go out on a boat first thing in the morning. Seanair isn't much of a seaman, more of a mountain man. I thought I'd sacrifice myself by staying with him on shore. Not that I mind boats but I didn't want Seanair on his own. It was some poetry morning on the Isle of Martin or somewhere so it probably wasn't my cup of tea anyway.

Talking of cups of tea, Morag is weaving baskets like there is no tomorrow – this is a Dwelly task that she has really enjoyed. I think she'll be mastering a full life sculpture in no time at all.

Anyway best go,

Hai,

Madainn mhath. Dè tha dol?

How you doing? We're in Dingwall which is alright I suppose. At least there's a Tesco here (other supermarket-like shops are available) and some shops that I recognise. I even managed to get a CD or two. Anyway, Seanair wants us all to go to some archaeological thing today, not sure what's going to be there but it might be quite interesting. I'm enjoying learning Gaelic and I seem to be getting the hang of it alright. Melodaidh is always trying to have conversations in Gaelic which is quite good I suppose as we all end up trying to speak it, even myself from time to time.

Anyway, ’s fheàrr dhomh falbh. Tha e cairteal an dèidh 9 sa mhadainn. We've got to go to this archaeology day at 10.

Tìoraidh,

M-Jr
