Halò a-rithist! Uill, uill, tha mise gu math toilichte! The festival was fabulous. I thoroughly enjoyed some of the music and I loved the Rothiemurchus Estate whilst taking in the music and the comedy.
It was even suitable for an old codger like me, there were young and old there and I'm glad we went after all. Melodaidh took part in the 12km run and Munro Jnr even smiled once or twice. I think he was enjoying the "KT" girl on the Saturday night.
Even Seanair had an enjoyable time. We took our seats and our flask and sat back and enjoyed the event.
That's our month in Aviemore finished and I must say I am a little sad to leave. I'll definitely return again soon once I've completed this year's travels of course
We're finishing up our month in style with a cèilidh in the town hall of Aviemore. It should be a right good hò-ro-gheallaidh (I learnt this from Dwelly!)
I will be in touch again next month when we travel to the Western Isles.
Gach beannachd,

Halò is ciamar a tha sibh an-diugh? Gu math, tha mi an dòchas! Tha sinn trang, trang dhà-rìreabh!
Well, I never thought I'd see the day that I'd be going to a full-blown music festival but it looks like I will be this weekend. It is Munro and Melodaidh's choice and myself and Seanair really feel we should go along as good sports and support one of their activities.
It is called The Outsider which sounds quite good actually. Apparently, there is a 12k run (not that I'll be participating in that) and a walk and lots of activities for children so it has changed my perception of a festival slightly – I still think I’ll reserve judgment until after the event.
Seanair will be right at home at The Outsider; maybe I'm more suited to T in the Park, tee hee hee! If only it was tea that the ‘T’ stood for!
Nonetheless, I think I will invest in a set of ear plugs as I can't tolerate too much din and noise after a certain time. Better go and dust down the wellies and get my festival survival kit ready ;)
Tìoraidh an-dràsta,
Morag

Halò, ciamar a tha sibh? Gu math? Tha sinn anns an Aghaidh Mhòr! I'm picking up some Gaelic slowly but surely. I have to say that I was slightly apprehensive about our month in Aviemore after my Fort William bunion and blister experience.
I thought we were in for another four weeks of mountaineering, scrambling and extreme sports such as white water rafting and … oh, I don’t know … bungee jumping or something.
I have to say it has all been very pleasant so far, and long may that continue. I think all the walking we have done has certainly made me a bit fitter - I couldn’t have been less fit in Fort William - I’m so embarrassed looking back on it!
I am still encouraging cultural activities and we have visited the Highland Folk Museum on my suggestion. It was so very interesting and Highland culture is the most fascinating in the world in my opinion.
People didn’t have an easy life up in these hills before the days of travel and mass production. Oh, listen to me on my soapbox! I don’t know what has come over me on this trip :)
Now I’m off to have a nice relaxing bath. There is talk of an expedition to Loch Insh for water sports this week. Although Seanair has said we’ll just do a spot of fishing instead of the wind surfing...phew!
Le gaol,
MorAG x
