Halò a-rithist! Tha sinn ann an Inbhir Nis an-dràsta, ach tha mi a’ dèanamh air a’ Ghearastan a-nochd. I’m in Inverness just now, but it’s Fort William tonight for me. I’m going to listen to a wonderful collection of Gaelic songs from Lochaber, with some of the best musicians and singers in the Highlands.

I dare say Seanair will want us back in Inverness to set off on Dwelly’s latest trip. He wants us to travel from the Gaelic school in Inverness to the Gaelic School in Glasgow. I think it’s a splendid idea. The best (or most splendid) bit is that Dwelly doesn’t expect us to do the whole trip on foot. Seanair is determined to give it a go, however!

I’ll write again soon to let you know how it’s all going.

Madainn mhath. We’ve mislaid Munro as he has skipped off to Glasgow, gleefully in the company of Melodaidh. They are going to see Runrig play a concert. Runrig are the most famous ‘Gaelic’ rock band in the world, and have inspired many, many people to take up the language.

Still a bit of peace for the rest of us until he comes back tomorrow!

Sin sibh …. Bliadhna Mhath Ùr nuair a thig i! That’s one of the last things Dwelly taught me. I was just getting in a bit of practice and he was very encouraging – then I blinked and he’d disappeared. He’s been a bit like that all year, just popping up now and again with little challenges and riddles.

I’ve had a wonderful time this year. Chòrd e rium gu mòr! It’s been just lovely to spend the time with my cousin and to have these adventures. I’ve also become rather fond of Munro, but don’t tell him. I think he’d make an ideal nephew.
