Halò! Thill sinn do Loch Abar airson a’ Mhòd Nàiseanta Rìoghail! This month, we’re back in Lochaber for the Royal National Mòd! It starts in just under a week, and there’s going to be loads of different things for us to see and hear! It should be amazing!
Yesterday, I went to a concert called the ‘International Guitar Festival’. There were players from Canada, Italy, New Zealand and other places too! It was a great night, with so many different styles all playing together. It’s a great way to make music; bringing varying styles together.
Next Saturday is the shinty/hurling Scotland/Ireland international match. It’s a fairly unique event, bringing two sports together and playing using combined rules! It should be a blast! Those ruggedly handsome young men in shorts …. Yum!!

It’s good to get a chance to rest my feet! There’s been so much going on that I’ve not had much of a break all month!
Yesterday we went back up to the top of Ben Nevis! There really are some amazing views from the top! Well worth the effort! Although I’m not sure Morag wouldn’t have preferred to just look at the photos from last time!
We’ve really done too much stuff this month to get it all down. The Mòd was great, and had loads of music and stories and stuff! It’s the most Gaelic culture we’ve seen in one place all year!
We also spent a day out in Fort William, and we took a steam train to get there! And we’re planning a boat trip to a place called Knoydart in a few days! There’s a lot more to Lochaber than Fort William you know!
I think that might be it from me this month! Lots to be doing, and not much time left to do it! Might have to find a costume for Halloween too! He-he!
