Halò!

Ciamar a tha a h-uile duine an-diugh? Tha mi gu math – ’s e latha brèagha a th' ann agus tha e cairteal gu uair feasgar an-dràsta.

The Big Willow Project was last night and it was sooo goood. We had a fabulous time and when the sculpture was lit at the end of the night it was just amazing. The Blazin’ Fiddles were accompanying the show and I have never heard such a wonderful band - it was a magical night and one of my favourites so far - mind you I ALWAYS say that, don't I?!? It's been a really good month once again and we've been very busy. Not too many outdoor activities but it's been very cultural - much to Munro's delight - joking ;)

Munro and I have been checking out this soccer tournament that's been happening at the local football club. It is semi-pro footballers from Scotland, Ireland, England and Wales, playing against each other for their national teams. I'm cheering on Scotland anyway. It's Scotland V Ireland today so that should be a belter of a game! It starts at 2 so feumaidh mi falbh! Tha mi duilich!

Wouldn't want to be late for Munro now, I think this is his favourite event of the month. The book festival wasn't really his thing :)

Tioraidh,

Mel x

Halò a-rithist! Ciamar a tha sibh an-diugh? Tha mi sgìth!

So we made it to Ullapool and, man, did we have a fab time! We went on a boat trip that took us to a Poetry Morning on Isle Martin. It was so cooooool! There were two sessions, one with Valerie Gillies and Donny O'Rourke and the second session was with the Gaelic poets, Meg Bateman and Kevin McNeill. It was one of my favourite days of the trip so far. I just love literature and poetry, particularly Scottish literature. I can't wait until I can read Gaelic poetry more fluently, that will be just amazing! It was Morag and I that took the boat trip, it seems neither Seanair nor Munro Jnr have seafaring legs! Ullapool is a lovely little town though and I can't wait to return - it was such a flying visit.

Anyhoo … tha sinn dìreach sgìth sgìth sgìth an-diugh … so I'm off to take it easy for a while.

Halò a'chàirdean!

Ciamar a tha sibh? ’S e latha math a th' ann an-diugh agus tha sinn trang trang trang! The last couple of days we've been doing a bit of sightseeing. We went for a tour around the Black Isle, which isn't black or an island but totally beeeeaautiful!

We went all the way to the little town of Cromarty which was just so cute. It's a lot flatter than Skye or the road to Thurso but it's so green and luscious round here! Yesterday we went to a Scottish Archeology Fair in Strathpeffer which was so interesting and so much fun.

Seanair was just in his element and loved it. I'm not sure if it's Munro's cup of tea though ;) Talking of cups of tea, Morag is something else with the basket making! She's totally loving this trip and really enjoying learning Gaelic! We're heading up to Ullapool on Thursday for the book festival which has so many amazing Scottish writers and authors there. I can't wait!

’S fheàrr dhomh falbh an-dràsta,

Mel x

Hey Guys,

Ciamar a tha sibh, a chàirdean? An dòchas gu bheil sibh gu math! Tha sinne trang le basgaidean!

Yeah, so here we are in Ross and Cromarty and we are staying in Dingwall. It's quite a nice little town - a bit closer to a town than any of the other places we've stayed. I've been busy finding out what we're gonna get up to this month and there are loads of events I really hope I can go to!

Apparently Ullapool is just a short journey up the road and it has both an music festival this month AND a book festival. On top of all that we have The Big Willow Project to look forward to at the end of the month - we've been busy trying to get our Dwelly task out of the way so we can enjoy ourselves and do some exploring! I can't wait to get exploring!!!! The basket making isn't quite as easy as it looks but Morag is absolutely magic at it.

Anyway I'm gonna check a few things out at the Tourist Info. Hope y'all are great!

Le gaol,

Mel x

p.s. I'm missing the surf, man!
