Hey Guys! Ciamar a tha sibh? Gu math? 'S e latha math a th'ann an-diugh a-rithist.
There's only two days to go until the competition and man, am I getting nervous?! I did the Dawn Patrol this morning and the surf was totally glassy. Some of the guys are even calling me a Diva which all you surfers will understand is a good thing! Munro Jnr is hanging out with some of the crew and myself quite a lot, but he doesn’t seem that bothered about surfing at all. I keep calling him a criddler, it’s just a bit of fun. If it keeps him happy that’s the main thing. I think he’s feeling a bit remote here with no big town or shopping centres nearby! Skye was bad enough but at least the climbing kept him amused. He’s totally bummed he can’t board!
We have been doing a bit of sightseeing and museum visiting this week to take a break from the waves. There is a really cool photography exhibition of the North Sea and there's a castle ruin in Thurso, which was a short walk for Seanair (!) we had a lovely day out.

Hey! 'S e latha math a th' ann agus bha mi a' surfadh an-diugh!
The main bay for surfing in Thurso is Dunnet Bay or Dunnet Head and I also found out that there is a surfing competition here this month - The O'Neill Highland Open so I've been out on my board every day, it's only right that an Aussie should get a prize.
Morag was keen to go to the Northern Nashville Caithness Country Music Festival at the weekend, which was kinda cool. There were country bands from all over the world there and you know what I enjoyed it a lot better than I thought I would, although I don't think the same can be said for Munro. He came along for a little while but I think he's more of a rock dude than a country bumpkin. Lol!

Halo! Ciamar a tha thu? Tha mise gu math!
Surfing in Scotland - I can hardly believe it! It's pretty remote here but it's so nice in it's own way - I love a bit of remoteness. There aren't as many things to see and do as there was in Skye, Fort William and Inverness but you know what - THERE IS SURF HERE!!!
Morag is glad that we don't have too many mountains to climb or films to make - I do have to try and show her how to use a surfboard though, which sure will be interesting! There's an Easter parade on Saturday so we'll try and take a break from surfing to hear the pipeband - I might even get a Highland fling!
