Woman's Hour is 60 this year!
Woman's Hour 60th birthday
October 7th 1946 was the start of something big - it was the first broadcast of a programme designed to celebrate, entertain and inform women.

Woman's Hour now attracts an audience of some 2.7 million people across the week - and over 40% of our listeners are men.

We'll be celebrating the anniversary with special entertainment on Saturday 07 October at 16.00 on Radio 4 and there are discussions around a wide range of people, events and significant issues during the weeks leading up to the actual day.

We're already inviting you to send us your family photos reflecting the changing lives of women this century and we'll be adding these to our Women's History Timeline Gallery.

We're also asking you to tell us how Woman's Hour changed your life - did an item you heard make you do something significant? Let us know.

Listen: 60th Anniversary
