Asian single mothers 19 Jan 2006
Does a rise signal a changing community?

The divorce rate in the Asian community is going up - and with it a rise in the number of lone parents.

Jenni talks to Roshan Doug, who brought his son up alone and has made a special programme about single parents. He says it was hard for him - but it's much, much worse for women who decide to leave their husbands, where traditional values of home and family run deep.  They're joined by Nasima Khan,Director of Asian Women Lone Parents Association.

Asian Single Parents will be broadcast on Radio 4 on January 30th at 11am
