From busker to EMI in a year
When Kristyna Myles formed a duo called Czechmate after meeting up with guitarist Ben Williams at Salford University, they didn’t realise that 2005, the year of their graduation, would also be the year when they became the stars of the Manchester Busker circuit, went on to win Radio 5 Live’s Busker Idol, and ended the year negogiating a record contract with EMI.
