Brides Without Borders 22 Dec 2005
Women who are married to asylum seekers

Brides without Borders is a group of more than fifty couples who face being forcibly separated from their partner due to one of them being a 'failed' asylum seeker facing deportation. They're campaigning against new Home Office regulations which require all non- European Nationals to ask permission before getting married.

Jenni is joined by Rhian Benyon from the Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants, - a supporter of Brides without Borders - and Sir Andrew Green the chairman of Migration Watch who claims the law is needed to prevent 'sham' marriages.
