Carol Birch
On her new novel

Carol Birch talks to Jenni about her new novel “The Naming of Eliza Quinn”. When New Yorker Beatrice Conrad inherits an old ruined cottage in the Southwest of Ireland in the late 1960s, she uncovers a history of family feud that stretches back to the potato famine of the 1840s. In the studio, Carol discusses her own experiences of living in an old ruin in Ireland.

The Naming of Eliza Quinn published by Virago, ISBN 1 84408 145 1
