Why it's at the heart of the work of a weaver
American born Nancy Child has lived in the UK since the 1960s. She came to weaving by accident, after taking a job as a receptionist at a textiles company. Since then she's made weaving her full time occupation, running classes for adults and children from her shop in North East London. Nancy says she can tell a fabric or even a fibre, just by its touch. Rachel Ellison went to meet her and and find out why her sense of touch is at the heart of her work as a weaver.
