  Thabita Khumalo 28 Oct 2005
On women's lives in Zimbabwe

Thabita Khumalo is from Zimbabwe. She's a mother, a trade unionist, and a women's right campaigner and during her recent visit to Britain, she worked to raise public awareness of ordinary women's lives in Zimbabwe.

She talks to Martha about the strained relationship she has with her daughter, the physical abuse she suffered because of her campaign, and the extreme difficulties Zimbabwean women face to obtain even basic hygiene care, such as sanitary towels.
