How far should we intervene in families to treat depression in children?
New guidelines on treating depression in children and young people have been published by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence.
They emphasise the need to look at the child's background and family history and the importance of involving the family in treatment.

Jenni discusses the recommendations with Professor Tim Kendall, chair of the Nice guidelines committee.
