  Little Kinsey 30 Sep 2005
Lifting the lid on sex in post-war Britain

The nation's first sex survey, Little Kinsey, was conducted by the Mass Observation in 1949. It lifted the lid on the secret world of sex in Britain in the aftermath of World War II. The intimate sexual testimony of over 3,000 people was so shocking at the time that the survey was never published.

99-year-old Rose Hacker, the nation's oldest sex therapist reveals ordinary people's attitude towards sex during that period of time. And sexual historian Hera Cook joins Martha to discuss why society considered Little Kinsey's findings so dangerous and disturbing.
