Psychologists at the University of California have managed to turn a group of volunteers off certain types of fattening foods by making them believe they disliked those foods when they were children.
It's the first time false memory techniques have been used to 'brainwash' people into changing their food preferences, and the persuasion seemed to work with startling ease.
