The acceptable face of therapy?

CBT has been getting exceptionally good press recently, it can help a whole range of problems from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, phobias and panic attacks, to stress at work.

It's just been proven to alter the physiology of the brain in a research study treating a group of women suffering from bulimia. And the government looks set to review access to talking therapies including CBT later this year, in an effort to get people with depression back to work.

So why has cognitive behavioural therapy suddenly become the acceptable face of therapy?
