Improvements for patients
An estimated 1 in 3 UK women suffer from it at some time in their lives, and it's very embarrassing.
Stress urinary incontinence is a condition with a social as well as a physical impact, which means that many women simply won't talk about it, and will certainly delay talking to their GP about it.
Until now, the only possible solutions have been physiotherapy or surgery. But tests on a drug released last year have shown significant improvement for patients.
Jenni talks to Dr Ash Monga, a consultant in gynaecology and incontinence specialist and 44 year old stress incontinence sufferer Jackie.
