Agony Aunt Reaches Hidden Community 25 July 2005
How effective will it be?

The London Criminal Justice Board has launched a criminal justice agony aunt column. The aim is to raise public awareness on criminal justice process, and also to engage with the ethnic groups, to encourage hidden victims of crime to come forward.

The column will be published in a magazine called Chinatown, in order to target one of the most hidden communities, the Chinese community.

How can an agony aunt column help raise public awareness on the criminal justice system? Is this the best way to engage with the hidden ethnic communities?

Jenni is joined by Yin Dewick - Senior London Crown Prosecutor and Kim Suan Tan - who has worked as a racial/equality advisor for government for more than 20 years and is now a Trustee for several Chinese community organisations.
