Newly elected mayor, Pauline Lane
In the next in our series on women in public life, we travel to Trafford, to meet the newly elected Mayor, Pauline Lane. Pauline has been Mayor for three months and bucks the traditional trend of elderly male mayors as seen in the portraits of her predecessors in the Mayor's office.
Lesley Hilton went along to meet her at a ceremony to officially welcome new citizens of the borough.
