Researching an old musical tradition
The Northumbrian pipes date back centuries - their compositions passed down by word of mouth from one generation to another.
On more than one occasion they've nearly died out altogether, only to be resurrected just in time. Now they're more popular than ever and there's pressure to re-introduce pipe lessons into Northumberland's schools.
Pauline Cato is one of their greatest exponents and she joins Jenni to talk about her new album.
