 Deification of the modern celebrity
They were a law unto themselves, sleeping around, and publicly falling out with each other, but despite their bad behaviour, the gods of Mount Olympus, were admired and cursed by the people of ancient Greece. Not unlike our A-list celebrities today.
We visit an exhibition of portraits of film stars as Greek gods, and ask whether we need our celebrities like the ancient Greeks needed their gods?
